Gardendale 35, Carver-Birmingham 21: Rockets QB Michael Crowder accounts for four TDs

won its second straight game, beating Carver-Montgomery (3-1) 35-21 tonight as quarterback Michael Crowder accounted for four touchdowns.

Crowder finished 10-of-20 passing for 201 yards and touchdown passes of 78, 7 and 41 yards and added a 3-yard touchdown run, and Conner Howell caught five passes for 184 yards and two touchdowns for the Rockets (2-2).

Key sequence: Crowder threw a 7-yard touchdown pass to Bailey Parsons in the second quarter, and Jason Brooks added a 3-yard run midway through the second quarter for a 28-7 lead. Carver never fully recovered.

Stat of the night: The two teams combined for 25 penalties for 205 yards. Gardnedale has 16 penalties, including four for unsportsmanlike conduct, for 115 yards...
